Radley has strong Christmas period
Jan 17, 2024
Premium bags brand Radley London shrugged off the spending woes of the Christmas period and has reported like-for-like sales up 4% in the key nine-week season.
That rise covered its own stores as well as its concessions and webstore with the online figure up a healthy 21%.
The company’s CEO Nick Vance also reported retail sales in the first eight months of its financial year (the 12 months to April) up 6%.
The brand that celebrated its quarter-century last year appears to be making the most of consumers seeking quality at an affordable price with its premium offer clearly resonating with such shoppers via a range with a top price of less than £350.
Vance admitted the market was challenging but hailed the brand’s achievement in the circumstances. And he said 2024 should bring lots of opportunities, although cost-of-living challenges will still be an issue.
This time last year, the company reported rising sales and profits for its full year 2021-22 and its figures for the 2022-23 should be out soon.
