MCM and Bape launch Lunar New Year capsule collection
German luxury fashion house MCM and Japanese streetwear brand A Bathing Ape (Bape) have once again joined forces for the launch of a Lunar New Year capsule collection, celebrating the Year of the Dragon.
The Lunar New Year Edition capsule is characterized by pattern play, playful graphics, and the fusion of Bape's notorious shark motif with MCM's signature Visetos. At the heart of the collection, is the infamous Bape STA logo enveloped with a golden dragon, symbolizing unapologetic confidence and irreverent style for the new year.
The Shark Hoodie, designed in Black & Cognac Visetos, proudly showcases the collaboration logo and the Bape shark motif. Completing the collection is MCM's most celebrated silhouettes, including the Backpack, Belt Bag, Crossbody, Boston, Weekender, North-South Tote, and handheld Pouch, reimagined with a transparent rendition of Bape's renowned camo pattern debossed in gold over the Visetos in Cognac & Black.
Each piece in the collection is adorned with durable gunmetal hardware and feature oversized graphics, audacious curvilinear patterns, and daring animalistic patches, finished with the collaboration logo.
