Jan 7, 2024
Luxury conglomerate LVMH announced on Friday a series of significant internal appointments and changes within its watches and jewelry division.
In particular, Frédéric Arnault, previously the CEO of TAG Heuer since 2020, has been appointed as the CEO of LVMH watches. In his new role, Arnault will oversee the strategic operations of watch brands Hublot, TAG Heuer, and Zenith.
Arnault's success at TAG Heuer has positioned him as a key figure in the industry, and his leadership aims to ensure robust and sustainable growth for the Watch Maisons, further solidifying LVMH's position in the watchmaking sector.
"Frédéric has done a tremendous job at TAG Heuer over the past 6 years. His unique and disruptive vision for the watchmaking industry led to a spectacular transformation for TAG Heuer, which recovered its credentials in record time as the luxury watch brand driven by high performance,” said Stéphane Bianchi, the CEO of LVMH watches and jewelry division, who Arnault will report to.
“I am extremely pleased to have Frederic join me within the LVMH watches and jewelry division to oversee our 3 Watch Maisons, and eager to see what his unique insights and vision will bring to fuel additional and sustainable growth for them.”
Julien Tornare, who served as the CEO of Zenith since 2017, will take on the role as the new CEO of TAG Heuer. Tornare's wealth of experience within the LVMH Group and deep roots in the watchmaking industry positions him as a strategic choice to continue TAG Heuer's development and enhance the value of its iconic collections.
Following Tornare's move to TAG Heuer, Benoit de Clerck has been appointed as the CEO of Zenith. De Clerck's extensive experience within the Richemont Group, with 25 years in the watchmaking industry, is expected to propel Zenith forward. The appointment aims to maintain the Maison's legacy of innovation and set the stage for the future of Swiss watchmaking.
Under the new structure, Tornare, de Clerck, and Ricardo Guadalupe, the CEO of Hublot, will report directly to Arnault.
