Cos links with Nativa on sustainable wool capsule
Jan 8, 2024
2024 is likely to be a big year for sustainability-focused capsuls and collabs and the latest comes as H&M Group’s London-based Cos brand links-up with Merino wool specialist Nativa (which is owned by France’s Chargeurs).
They’ve created a limited-edition capsule “championing regenerative farming practices that aim to nurture positive change”.
The brand also said the collab shows its “ongoing commitment to traceability and transparency” and supports Nativa’s “dedication to cultivating balanced ecosystems”.
The eight-piece collab launches this month in stores and online. It comprises traceable wool fibres used for “softly tailored set-dressing and elevated essentials”. And there are knitwear pieces made from wool certified by both the Responsible Wool Standard and Responsible Mohair Standard, as well as recycled and repurposed wool.
Nativa’s “holistic approach to regenerative farming is tailored to the needs of each farm to enhance soil and water quality, increase CO2 capturing, and improve animal welfare, the empowerment of farmers and their local communities,” we’re told.
The firm’s sourcing director Nicolas Sapelli said the company is “pioneering a new way of producing the world’s finest Merino wool. By supporting our farming partners through regenerative farming practices and instilling trust and traceability throughout the fashion supply chain with Blockchain, consumers can feel confident in the quality and strictest environmental standards.”
